The formation of wrinkles is a natural process that it is impossible to avoid completely. However, it is possible to mitigate it by following this procedure:
Vitamins A, E, C, Selenium, Beta-Carotene and Co-Enzyme Q10 are all powerful antioxidants and their positive usefulness in cosmetic products has been demonstrated.
New natural (powerful) antioxidants are constantly discovered (e.g. polyphenols) but most of them haven't been extensively studied so it is too early at this stage to recommend their use in cosmetic products.
To maintain a youthful skin long, it is recommended to apply vitamin/antioxidant creams
Pollution, cold or dry weather, fat food, and stressful lifestyles can all dehydrate the skin. Moisturizing on a regular helps improving the way the skin looks by increasing its elasticity and softness. There are two main types of moisturizing agents: Humectants help the skin to absorb and contain more water. Emollients fill in spaces between skin cells.
There are at least 50 different active ingredients that can hydrate the skin in an efficient manner. We consider the hyaluronic acid and the oil of argan as the best ingredients to moisturize the skin.
When applied on the skin hyaluronic acid works as an excellent moisturizer.
The best cosmetic creams contain micronized (broken into small fragments) hyaluronic acid which penetrates through the epidermal barrier and is kept by the dermis.
Creams with hyaluronic acid have a moisturizing function while hyaluronic acid is injected as a wrinkle filler.
Some molecules have a sound scientific basis showing their stimulating effect on collagen: vitamin A, E and C, retinoids, acids Α lipoicα-hydroxy acids and growth factors (EGF) can stimulate cells to produce more collagen.
Collagen molecules are too large to penetrate into the drmis through a cosmetic cream and are therefore ineffective as a dermis thickener.
Retinoids are derivatives of vitamin A that stimulate the production of collagen. Unfortunately, they cause many side effects such as redness and increased sunlight sensitivity.
